Yes, you're right - you can't overlay imagery. I misread the API earlier.

Still, I quite like the idea of a virtual globe without having to launch GE.

ALso, this ought to allow embedding of multiple globes within a document, which with a richer API would be very nice.

Looks very promising - a bit jerky at the moment though.  I can't see a way yet of overlaying new imagery though.  That would be very nice.
